Some Projects

AN ONLINE BRAIN TRAINING TOOL IN SCHOOLS
  • What we did: Collaborated with Independent Schools Victoria (ISV). Pilot tested the introduction of Cognisess, an online brain training tool in schools to see whether the outputs could be used to help students understand their abilities and learning (i.e. their metacognition)

  • Added value: Designed and introduced a pre- and post-exercise survey of students' perceptions of their own learning strengths and weaknesses. Analysed the data to see how well the tool's outputs matched up to these perceptions

  • Outcome: ISV continued with this project (Cognizance) more schools the following year.

BALLOT PAPER TESTING

  • Outcome: The results were used to refine the design and instructions of the 2016 Federal Election Senate Ballot paper.
